About
Mission Statement
We improve the health of our community through equitable, compassionate, evidence-based care; scientific discovery and scholarship; advocacy; and the development of future healthcare leaders.
Vision
To achieve optimal health outcomes for the patients and communities we serve in an optimal work environment for all.
The Division of General Internal Medicine is committed to promoting an inclusive and equitable culture that supports and celebrates the diversity of all of its members. We believe that by including people from different backgrounds and with different life experiences at every level of our many activities, we will be better at solving complex problems, caring for our diverse patients, educating the next generation of physicians, and contributing to science. Our overall goal is to improve health equity and end health disparities for our patients and the communities we serve. Our success in this ambitious goal depends on creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace, educational environment, and clinical practice for all.
