Thank you for your interest in the Primary Care/General Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of California San Francisco! Our program is a robust, well-established Primary Care residency program – created in 1974 to train leaders in General Internal Medicine.

Our program is grounded in mentorship and provides an individualized curriculum that ensures a strong foundation in clinical medicine, leadership, communication skills and scholarship. Your primary care clinic will be in an integrated faculty-resident practice that cares for a complex, diverse patient population.  Our practice mirrors the socioeconomic diversity of the city of San Francisco, as all patients may receive their primary care here.

Please check out our website to learn detailed information about our program and how to apply: https://medicine.ucsf.edu/residency-programs/residency-program-application-process.

Good luck with your application and interviews! We look forward to hearing from you soon and welcome any questions you may have about our program!

Sincerely,

Katherine Julian, MD
