About SPACE

The Social Justice, Political Advocacy, Community Engagement (SPACE) Committee promotes health equity, community engagement, advocacy, and education within the Division of Geriatrics. The committee works to address social determinants of health and supports initiatives that improve the well-being of our patients and communities.

Community Engagement:

Donation Drive for La Casa de las Madres

In the month of October 2019, the SPACE Committee held its inaugural donation drive for La Casa de las Madres. We anticipate that this will be a yearly event! Look out for announcements when October rolls around each year.

SF-Marin Food Bank

DGIM has gone to the SF Food Bank to help bundle food for those in need.
It is part of the work we do to take care of others.
