Dr. Molly Cooke Inducted into Royal College of Physicians

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) was chartered by Henry VIII in 1518 and celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2018. Molly Cooke, MD, FACP, was present for this milestone anniversary as she was inducted into the RCP.

As Dr. Cooke explains: "Like the American College of Physicians, most Fellows advance after having been members for at least four years, based on having made 'significant contributions in the practice of medicine or the pursuit of medical or general science.' I was elected under a special bylaw which allows the election of up to 20 Fellows a year who are not members of RCP but who meet the same standard and 'have been nominated by the Council as specially eligible.' The whole event was full of pomp and circumstance—it was fun."
